Installing wireshark in ubuntu 9.10

Go to Applications > Ubuntu Software Center...



... and search for wireshark:



Mark the Wireshark package and click on the arrow on the right:



On the next screen, click the Install button:



Type in your password:



Wireshark is now being downloaded and installed:



NOTE: in case the progress bar not increase and you see the msg "waiting for other software managers to quit"

so you need to run this command


sudo dpkg --configure -a





You can close the Ubuntu Software Center window afterwards:


It is now installed

  4. salam..sorry sir zuraidin..i have a few question..
    my wireshark on my linux didn't found my NIC..what should i do ?..have any ideas bout it ? tq..

    sudo wireshark..
